Last year, ARGO gave us the task of developing a digital solution for registering direct reuse from dedicated areas at their recycling centers. The solution, which consists of the Direct Genbrug app with integration to the newly developed registration and reporting system, has now been launched and is initially used by the humanitarian organizations ARGO has agreements with.
The development of the solution has been done in close collaboration with Christian Ebbesen and the organizations' employees and volunteers, making the app very easy to use. Users can specify which profile they have without giving their private information - e.g. humanitarian organization, volunteer, private, institution or company. The app finds the nearest registered direct recycling location and adapts to the identity of the waste company or municipality.
The data collected from the users' registrations is used for ARGO's recycling accounting, indicating the contribution of the collected items to CO2 savings. The app can be downloaded here and currently works at all ARGO's recycling centers.
All municipalities can have their direct recycling locations set up and have their user registrations reported.
